Liz
was born in Rochdale, and still lives and works as a contemporary jeweller
in the area.
After a successful course studying fashion at Rochdale college Liz earned
the privilege to gain experience in the fashion industry working at the
Zandra Rhodes design house in London.
This had a great impact on Liz and she went onto study International
Textile and Surface Design at Middlesborough College of Art, specialising in
fashion design. Her final show was inspired by textile artists and historic
fashion fashion trends, taking ideas from Victorian bodices and combining
them with modern materials and styles she produced elaborate black and gold
neck pieces.
After her graduation in 1999 these flamboyant fashion statements evolved
into chokers and bracelets which proved to be very popular - and remain so
to this day.
These chokers were the beginning of Liz's flourishing jewellery career.
Today she is drawn to the vibrant colours of natural stones, and loves to
incorporate crystals, pearls, and semi-precious jewels. She is a versatile
artist who is always experimenting and welcomes commissions.
